    Latin Americans can be very conscious of appearance so try to be casual but conservative in your dress. Outside of beach areas halter tops and very short shorts should not be worn. When visiting churches or religious sites shoulders and knees should be covered.

Itinerary:

What could be better than spending an afternoon learning the ins and outs of Peru’s most famous drink, the pisco sour?! Meet an English speaking local guide at the Virgen Milagrosa church (Church of the Miraculous Virgin) in the heart of Miraflores to learn stories about the church and the Parque Kennedy.

 

The next step on this Lima day tour is to head to the Ovalo Miraflores to travel as the Limenos do, by combi. Disembark after a few blocks at Surquillo market in the neighborhood of Surquillo. Stroll around the bustling stands and experience the local flavors. With the help of your local guide, use your best Spanish to purchase the ingredients required to make a great pisco sour.

 

With freshly bought produce under arm, travel to a centrally located hotel in Miraflores for your pisco sour lesson. Hear the many anecdotes about the traditional pisco sour and learn to make the perfect blend. Celebrate with a toast of your own pisco sour.
